Unsightly scars caused by accidents, acne, or surgery may often be made to be less noticeable through several techniques available through Accent Dermatology and Laser Institute.

Depending upon whether the scar is pink, red or white, IPL treatments can be used to make the pigmentation more 'skin like'. IPL can also be used to flatten raised or thickened scars. Several treatments are usually necessary.

Scars may also be treated with Restylane injections if they are the 'depressed' or 'indented' types. Restylane is injected under the scar, supporting the scar from below, and raising it to the surface of the surrounding skin. This usually makes the scar much less apparent, and is sometimes all that is required to entirely diminish the appearance of the scar.
